Return and Refund Policy

1. Overview
Bush Billabongs is committed to meeting its obligations under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). This policy outlines your rights and our procedures for returns, refunds, and replacements.
This policy applies to all products purchased through the Bush Billabongs website or by direct order.
2. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Under the ACL, you are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
These rights apply regardless of any other warranty or policy stated by Bush Billabongs.
3. Change of Mind Returns
We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind.
Due to the bulky nature of our products and the logistics involved in delivery and storage, we are unable to accept returns where you have simply changed your mind, ordered the wrong product, or no longer require the item.
We encourage you to carefully review all product specifications and ensure suitability for your intended use before purchasing.
4. Damaged or Defective Products
4.1 Damage at Collection
You must inspect your product at the time of collection from the pickup yard. If you identify visible damage at the point of collection, you should:
- Photograph the damage before removing the product from the yard
- Notify Bush Billabongs within 24 hours via email with photographs
- Do not install a damaged product
If damage is confirmed as having occurred before collection, we will arrange a replacement or full refund at our discretion.
4.2 Manufacturing Defects
If you discover a manufacturing defect after collection but before installation, contact us within 14 days of collection with photographs and a description of the defect. We will assess the claim and, if the defect is confirmed, offer a replacement or refund.
Defects discovered after installation are subject to the manufacturer's warranty terms.
4.3 Damage During Transport
Bush Billabongs is not responsible for damage that occurs during transport from the pickup yard to your property. Risk passes to the customer at the point of collection. We strongly recommend securing the tank properly on your vehicle and transporting it with care.
5. How to Request a Return or Refund
To request a return or refund, email us at info@bushbillabongs.com.au with the following information:
- Your order number
- Date of purchase and collection
- Description of the issue
- Photographs showing the damage or defect
- Your preferred resolution (replacement or refund)
We will respond within 5 business days with our assessment and next steps.
6. Refund Process
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval. For replacements, we will arrange a new product for collection at the same or nearest available pickup location.
7. Uncollected Orders
If you fail to collect your order within 30 days of the nominated collection date and have not contacted us to arrange an alternative, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a refund less a restocking fee of $100 AUD.
8. Exclusions
This return policy does not apply to:
- Products damaged due to improper transport by the customer
- Products damaged during or after installation
- Products modified or altered after collection
- Products used in a manner inconsistent with their intended purpose
- Normal wear and tear
